Focus your efforts on one network at a time.
Social media networks are like a new toy & everyone wants one of them. We want to be everywhere because we're sure that this network will be just right for us. However, the fact is we're all strapped for time & resources when starting a business. So if you want to focus on all of the social networks, then you're setting yourself up for a long road ahead & a mediocre result.

We were on all of the standard platforms & also some lesser-known networks like Anchor, Tumblr, LinkedIn. We found was that we were getting dismal results across the board. Plus, it was taking full days to post content to each platform. It wasn't sustainable & wouldn't be for any small to medium business.
It does seem counterintuitive, but focusing all your efforts on the two platforms which give you the best engagement for your brand. Making content unique to each platform is essential, as they all seem to have different optimal sizes for content.

If you are writing a blog about social media marketing, the wording that will get attention and clicks on LinkedIn will much different than what works on Facebook, which is a lot different to what works on Instagram, Snapchat, or Twitter.
It takes focus on a particular platform that allows you to perfect your content for successful tactics.
Knowing how to read the data is also essential to get a truly engaged audience.
